World Stage Design (WSD) is the first and only designer-based exhibition to showcase and celebrate performance design from individual designers. Held every four years, WSD has now travelled to five cities: Toronto, Seoul, Cardiff, Wales, Taipei, & Calgary. The sixth WSD exhibition will be held in Sharjah, UAE from Saturday 18th - Saturday 25th October 2025. World Stage Design 2025 will be co-produced by Sharjah Performing Arts Academy and OISTAT.
The launch date for entries to be received for the Emerging and Professional Exhibition is May 13, 2024.

The heritage of our region we hold with pride. We embrace the stories; we enjoy the creative and we respect the history. Sharjah World Stage Design 2025 at Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) is where we explore our next heritage whilst celebrating our past. Tomorrow’s heritage is today’s exploration. We create this heritage with our neighbours, as a global community.
Tomorrow’s heritage is dependent on our environment, without it there is no need to create. At World Stage Design 2025 everything we do, we consider our ecological footprint, how can it be reduced, is it minimal, is there an alternative. We ask you to join us to do the same.
